About Me

Hey, I'm Marcello Avila. I'm a developer and digital security advocate based in Costa Rica. This blog is where I journal about technology, consumer security, activism, and everything in between—documenting both my wins and failures along the way.

I started this blog as a way to share what I learn and reflect on the intersection of technology, ethics, and everyday life. Most of my writing focuses on making digital security accessible and understandable to people who aren't security experts. I also write about activism, consumer choices, and the responsibilities we have when we use technology.

Whether it's explaining why RSS still matters, breaking down how companies track you, or thinking through the ethics of boycotts, I'm interested in the practical and philosophical sides of being online today.

If you have questions or want to talk about anything you've read here, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to discuss ideas, challenge my thinking, or help clarify something I've written.
